Need help with crisis communications? Looking to outsource a marketing campaign?
Over twenty years I’ve worked across all marketing communications channels – from the most innovative global digital campaigns to the smallest scale direct mails.
As a Communications Director I’ve handled PR and corporate communications in routine and crisis situations, and while working for Future Publishing my content was read and purchased by hundreds of thousands of consumers globally every year.
Some of the brands I've worked with...
While Director of Communications and Public Affairs at the University of Westminster, a party of lecturers were caught up in a terrifying mass-shooting attack in Mumbai. One colleague was shot multiple times and hospitalised, critically ill. He later made a full recovery.
From the UK, I coordinated the internal and external crisis communications response.
As Head of Online for The Royal Society in the mid-2000’s I was part of the team leading the fight to establish the global scientific consensus on climate change, creating and publishing a mix of specialist and mass-market digital content including research papers, columns, videos and podcasts.
In 2018 I led the small team promoting a new British musical – Pieces of String .- at the centre of which was a social media campaign to #BeThereAtTheBeginning
The campaign brought visitors, producers, social media and decision makers from far and wide to a regional theatre to see an innovative new LGBT+ production.
Not since EVERYBODY’S TALKING ABOUT JAMIE @JamieMusical has there been such an assured & original British show as PIECES OF STRING at Colchester’s @mercurytheatre: curiously, both feature mothers & their relationships with their gay sons - though they couldn’t be more different! pic.twitter.com/slLFK0UVk4— Mark Shenton (@ShentonStage) April 27, 2018
